According to Goodreads.com, I've read 123 books this year. I know that I've read more than that, actually. (Some I don't remember to add to Goodreads, some I purposely don't add.) If I start a book and it is HORRIBLE, I don't add it. I have a separate Word document for "DNF" (Did Not Finish) books.
There are books that I've read a few chapters of at pertinent times but I haven't read the entire book yet (mostly theology books/Bible study books).
This also doesn't count the books that I've re-read this year, unfortunately. I do re-read many of my favorite books.

This probably shows you that 1.) I read A LOT of books. (I pick reading over watching T.V.) 2.) I read many different types of books. That's how you get to be a better writer, in my opinion. Read lots of different things!!
