About Melissa

Melissa Buell has always had a vivid imagination and would fall asleep to scenes she would make up. That then turned into writing those scenes out which turned into...a novel. She graduated cum laude from California State University, Fullerton with a B.A. in English, emphasis on Secondary Education. She is an English teacher. She is also a voracious reader who loves many genres. She lives in her native Southern California with her husband and two sons.

Favorite pastimes include spending time with her husband and kids, taking photographs, baking, blogging,  volunteering, sewing, crafting, and reading!

Things that make her smile: descending into her Writer Cave, white daisies, Milano cookies, costume parties, children's laughter, super fine tip pens, strawberries, honesty, book speaking with friends, singing loudly in the car to Disney musicals and/or Taylor Swift songs, writing for hours at Panera, drinking coffee with friends, watching children's movies with her kids, searching for books at the library.
Things that she doesn't like: rude people, injustice.
